HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR A FACIAL AT BROW DOWN STUDIO?

In the days leading up to your facial, avoid heavy exfoliation and discontinue the use of acids (AHAs, BHAs or retinol). During the initial consultation, it is important to be open and honest with your esthetician about the products used at home and/or any past treatments. This information will help us provide you with the most effective professional treatment

SHOULD I REMOVE MAKEUP BEFORE MY FACIAL TREATMENT?

While it is helpful, it is not a requirement! Each skincare treatment begins with a thorough cleanse to remove any makeup, dirt, oil, or debris from your skin.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY FACIAL TREATMENT?

Each facial appointment begins with a thorough skin care analysis and consultation, where we assess your skin’s current health under a magnifying lamp, learn about your lifestyle and current home care regimen. Your esthetician will then proceed with a customized treatment based on your skincare goals and needs. As part of this process, your esthetician will educate you on how to properly care for your skin at home, work with you to select the right products for your skin type, and walk you through a specific homecare regimen for your unique skin type.

WHAT DOES A "CUSTOMIZED FACIAL TREATMENT" MEAN?

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to our treatments as no two skin types are the same. Rather than following a specific facial protocol, we assess your skin to figure out exactly what it needs and then we get to work doing all we can in the time we have. In addition to a deep cleanse and exfoliation, to maximize the effects of your facial, our treatments may include hydrodermabrasion and a variety of modalities such as microcurrent, high-frequency, and LED to target specific concerns. We treat each facial as a unique treatment as your skin’s needs are constantly changing.

WILL THE FACIAL HURT?

While it is possible to experience mild discomfort during extractions, you should not expect to feel any irritation, burning or major discomfort during your treatment. Should this happen, please let your esthetician know immediately.

CAN I STILL GET A FACIAL IF I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN?

Yes - our treatments and product lines are safe for treating all skin types and can be adapted to your specific needs. Please let your esthetician know of any ingredient sensitivities or allergies that you may have.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A FACIAL?

For best results, it is generally recommended that you get a facial treatment once a month as skin cells turnover every 28 days. The added benefit of a monthly facial is that you’re able to check in with a professional often as your skin may experience changes due to different lifestyle factors or as the seasons change. Giving your skin professional attention on a consistent basis will help maintain the overall health of your skin.
